Sticks’n’Sushi Cambridge, London

Sticks’n’Sushi in Cambridge is situated opposite the Corn Exchange Theatre in the town centre, it is in a stunning listed building that was the Old Reading Room just a few moments’ walk from the university.

From Denmark Sticks’n’Sushi are one of the market leaders in Japanese cuisine in Scandinavia and have opened serval sites in England.

Using classic design of this old building and adding a modern décor, fixtures and fittings it has transformed into a stunning eatery.

The high ceilings, coving and pillars in Farrow & Ball Paints, pale powder Vinyl Matt really compliments the dark fixtures and fittings and black bar top.

One particular area which was has the “Wow” factor is the old lending library which doubles up as the live cooking station, it has all the old features including high coved ceiling, shelves on all the surrounding walls and a large wrought iron circular staircase and railings on the walkway which was once used to reach all the old books. I this area all the iron was stripped back too bare to give it a distressed look, all the timber was finished in Farrow & Ball Paints – Colour Stiffkey Blue in an Eggshell finish, this combined with the stainless steel kitchen is really impressive.

This finished project was stunning and all involved deserve a huge pat on the back.
