Coast to Coast

Coast to Coast, Stansted Airport

Phillips Decorators have recently completed two projects at Stansted Airport, Giraffe and Coast to Coast restaurants. The projects consisted of two new restaurants in the international departure lounge as part of the £80million transformation to improve services and facilities for passengers.

Both projects were very similar, consisting of two phases. The first phase included spraying and painting out high level soffits and surfaces using emulsion paints.
Once we returned to the site four weeks later, we completed the second phase which consisted of applying emulsion to the lower MDF ceilings and various walls, sealing brickwork, applying murals to bulkheads and insert panels. The back of house works included applying emulsion to the ceilings and walls and also applying gloss to the woodwork.

As the site was at an airport, the security was very tight. So to ensure there were no interruptions or delays in starting, we had to ensure that all of our on site employees had the correct airport ID passes and had completed an induction before the work could commence.

The whole project was completed on time and to budget to the delight of our client.

Coast to Coast, Wembley

This project was a tough one. There was a tight program to adhere to. The site was full of materials and raffs already fitted when Phillips Decorators had to decorate  but despite all of the obstacles, a good finish was achieved as always. The works included murals applied to walls, sealer to exposed brickwork plus usual emulsion and gloss to back of house services.  

Coast to Coast American restaurant and bar has been created by a team of people who genuinely love good quality food, drinks and good times!

Coast to Coast is part of The Restaurant Group plc which operates over 400 restaurants and pub restaurants. Their principal brands are Frankie & Benny's, Chiquito, Coast to Coast, Garfunkel's, Home Counties Pub Restaurants and Brunning & Price. (we have decorated most of those!) They also operate a Concessions division which trades at over 50 outlets primarily in UK airports.
